West African giraffe

Giraffe is fascinating and attractive animal without any doubts. Unfortunately, the species and subspecies of these lovable mammals are becoming disappeared due to the hunters. In some countries like Mozambique, Mauritania and Senegal, the giraffe’s population has been wiped out thoroughly. Even normal people are enemy of these animals because these harms to the crop of farmer. So we have to protect the life of giraffe from other wild animals and peoples.

West African giraffe is the most famous subspecies of giraffe. As the name suggest, the Sahel area is known as the originating point for giraffe, in West Africa. Primarily the fresh and new leaves of tree are the diet of West African giraffe.

Bushy, grassy and savannah region are appropriate for freely movement of giraffe. These prefer semi desert areas for living from where they can get food and the water easily. Surprising news is that some habits of giraffe matches with the camel. These animals store the water and food in the stomach and whenever these feel thirsty and hungry, they can get food from that stored food.
