What can we do to help wildlife!
The more you know about the unique behaviour and traits of wildlife, the more you will appreciate the absolute beauty of wild animals and help conserving endangered species. This could only be possible by wildlife facts.
Animals have gone extinct since the start of 21st century. Facts can tell you about the population and other statistics of endangered wild species. There are only 48 Javan rhinos left in the world. For conservationists and animal lovers that is a frightening number. Conservationists are afraid that a single natural disaster or the introduction of a disease to their home on the island of Java could wipe out the species forever.
Cheetah cats are the world’s fastest land animal. According to the Cheetah Conservation Fund, cheetahs have also survived the longest out of all the big cats. But cheetah cats are headed for extinction in future . As with many of the world’s wild animals, the cheetah cat has become a victim of a growing human population and limited food supply.
Long-term survival of cheetah is in question as their population continues to decline. An increased awareness of the nature and beauty of the cheetah cat may assist conservationists in its ultimate survival and this is only possible through wildlife facts and figures.

Extinction of species is now occurring at a faster rate than at any time in Earth’s history. Powerful wildlife imagery is a productive means of building environmental awareness and engagement, and quick and easy access to this imagery is essential in this digital communications society we live in today.
Crucial weapons in the battle to save the world’s endangered biodiversity from the brink of extinction are wildlife films and photos. So, creating ultimate multimedia guide with the help of the world’s best filmmakers, photographers, conservationists and scientists, is the key to save world’s endangered species.
Endangered animals that have two things in common. One is that they are desperately in need of protection, and other is that they are a little camera shy. By revealing the facts like how these species look like, how they behave and what makes them special, we will be able to shine the spotlight on the many thousands of endangered species, thereby raising their public profile and, ultimately, helping to ensure their conservation.

Kenya animals

Kenya animals

Wildlife in Kenya is not confined to the parks and reserves although it is generally more abundant in such areas. Thus, although safaris tend to be routed through the reserves, a visitor will often see plenty of wildlife outside.
Antelopes come large and small- eland is the largest weighing around 600 kg, a hundred times the weight of the dainty dikdik. Wildebeest, among the most numerous of antelopes, share their grazing with zebra and are naturally gregarious but the smaller antelopes such as the suni, oribi and duiker are rarely found in any numbers.
Apart from antelopes there are carnivores- leopard, lion, cheetah, wild dog, and hyena ,Lion and Leopard are rarely found making killing in daylight. Jackals are also predators particularly the beautiful golden-backed jackals are the predators which, rarely scavenges. Even the most common jackal, the black-backed, finds only one third of its food from scavenging.
The cape buffalo also called African buffalo, judged by most hunters to be the most dangerous of big game, inhabits grassland where there is preferably thick cover and swamp in which to lie up, but like the elephant it is also adapted to life in dense and cold forest. Another one is the african elephant who is larger than the Asian elephant, and has large ears. Just like the rhinoceros, it is unfortunately hunted for its tusks, it is a protected species.
Kenya, a great place to enjoy wildlife safari with natural beauty and wildlife.

Cheetah facts

Cheetah facts

The Cheetah is one of the most elegant, graceful and world’s fastest land mammal found in the world. Cheetah is one of the few members of the cat family which hunts with speed rather than from hiding in stealth and hunt. They have long, slim, muscular legs, a small, rounded head set on a long neck, a deep chest, a flexible spine, non retractable claws, special pads on its feet for traction and a long, tail for balance. They weighs from thirty five to fifty kilograms. Body Length can be anything from one hundred ten to one hundred thirty five centimeters. The cheetah has a coat of small, black spots which is coarse and short. It has a short head and high-set eyes. He can reach 45 miles per hour within 2.5 seconds. Cheetah reaches up to 100 km/hr with short bursts lasting till 450 meters. Cheetah cannot roar like lions. However, they can  purr, hiss, whine and growl while inhaling. The lifespan of a cheetah is twelve years in the wild and twenty years in captivity.. They hunt in the middle of the day. Cheetahs stalk their prey, approaching to within about 50 feet before dashing out from cover and sprinting at the targeted animals. A cheetah grabs their victims’ throats and suffocates their quarry within a few minutes. After securing their meal, they may drag it to nearby cover. Once widespread across arid Africa, into the Middle East and east to India, the cheetah has suffered dramatic declines over the last century. Mostly hunted for their spotted coats and also the reason that they attack humans now they have disappeared from many areas. A review of Cheetah facts reveals an animal on the edge of extinction. Efforts are being made to save the Cheetah, but the future doesn’t look particularly positive for this fast, beautiful animal.
